According to the CBC special on Canadians and Debt the average Canadian household owes $70,000! That seems very high to me (as an average) but they may be including a mortgage calculation in that amount. What do you think? Is the situation that bad that the average family owes $70,000 in consumer debt? Are we the norm? That is scary!!!
